持(chi)而盈(ying)之(zhi),不如其已;揣而銳之(zhi),不可長(chang)保(bao)。金玉滿堂,莫之(zhi)能守;富(fu)貴(gui)而驕,自遺(yi)(呂本作(zuo)“貽”)其咎(jiu)。功遂身退,天之(zhi)道也。
此(ci)章(zhang)修(xiu)身(shen)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)要,要人有(you)(you)道而(er)不(bu)自(zi)滿,持(chi)(chi)(chi)真而(er)無(wu)(wu)驕心,入性(xing)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)后,任其(qi)自(zi)然,在冥忘中(zhong),不(bu)知其(qi)有(you)(you),如是(shi)乃(nai)得(de)道之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)士。初(chu)入道門,有(you)(you)此(ci)數病。持(chi)(chi)(chi),是(shi)有(you)(you)了,勇猛向前,不(bu)知進退,故至于盈(ying)(ying),一(yi)盈(ying)(ying),不(bu)知其(qi)住火,而(er)使其(qi)盈(ying)(ying),不(bu)如不(bu)修(xiu)。此(ci)句上合其(qi)天(tian),而(er)同天(tian)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)虛無(wu)(wu),體無(wu)(wu)始之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)真,只是(shi)中(zhong)和以修(xiu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),方(fang)成(cheng)(cheng)久持(chi)(chi)(chi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)功(gong),而(er)無(wu)(wu)漏瀉。銳乃(nai)趨進之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心,及(ji)不(bu)可持(chi)(chi)(chi),其(qi)心揣之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)而(er)無(wu)(wu)保(bao),因銳也(ye)。富貴乃(nai)涵(han)養之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)功(gong)用(yong),用(yong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)窮,取之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)竭(jie),若驕之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),前若水之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)功(gong),豈不(bu)自(zi)養而(er)安能成(cheng)(cheng)無(wu)(wu)極之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道、合我本來面(mian)目?故使我常(chang)常(chang)綿悟(wu);而(er)丹之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)液,金也(ye),玉(yu)也(ye),久在虛氣之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong),故守(shou)(shou)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),得(de)其(qi)常(chang)存(cun),少有(you)(you)驕心,則(ze)不(bu)能守(shou)(shou),而(er)泄(xie)天(tian)元(yuan)一(yi)氣,世辭之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)矣;要久守(shou)(shou),除非(fei)退其(qi)身(shen),方(fang)得(de)成(cheng)(cheng)我之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)功(gong),遂我之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)名,而(er)合天(tian)地萬(wan)物造化之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)根機,返無(wu)(wu)極之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)至道,乃(nai)得(de)常(chang)持(chi)(chi)(chi)而(er)不(bu)盈(ying)(ying),能保(bao)能守(shou)(shou),不(bu)致于漏其(qi)真,泄(xie)其(qi)元(yuan),一(yi)混合其(qi)天(tian),不(bu)外中(zhong)和之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)旨。
